According to several foreign news reports, the RTX 3090 Ti did not achieve as much performance increase over the original card as many had expected.
Higher GPU clock speeds, a brand new 21Gbps GDDR6X memory and almost 100W more power weren’t enough for the Ti card to achieve double-digit performance gains. Recent reports suggest that while the Ti model performs well in 4K, there is no huge change in other resolutions compared to the base card.
Thanks to CapFrameX’s Twitter post, the performance can be outlined, with Ti achieving a 10% acceleration in 4K in exchange for its 450W power requirement.
Doubtful information about its price was also released. We may be getting the Ti for the price of the base model, but that means you get a 3090 price reduction. According to other news, the 3090 will be available for $1499 and the Ti version will be available for $2,000.
